Can I become a Financial Planner without a DFP?

I have completed a B Bus in applied finance majoring in Financial Planning, I also have an MBA (Finance and accounting) from an Australian Uni, and am interested in becoming a financial planner, but everytime I try to apply for a job in Australia they require you to have a Dip in Financial Planning, do I need to complete the Dip in order to pursue a career in Financial planning? Any help would be great. Thanks|||careers abroad are surely an exciting notion, but you have to be really careful of the law-related implications, if you don't effect your research well, there can be unpleasant results! The site in the box below has a lot of guidance on careers abroad, my friend uncovered it, now he is a barman in Tasmania!
